A number of our technological developments have
commonalities that make them applicable to several application areas.

Tinnitus Masking Technology
Specific technology to generate user-adjustable
masking sounds offers relief for tinnitus sufferers:
Patent pending technology is embedded into tabletop
water-based "fontain" devices that the tinnitus sufferer can place in work,
home and sleeping environments to mask and/or distract him /her from
brain-induced ringing in the ears. While these elegant and visually unobtrusive
devices use water as a medium for sound generation they do not specifically
read as "fountains" nor do they read as a medical devices. To the non-tinnitus
sufferer they add a pleasing, natural background sound to the home or workspace
environment while at the same time humidifying the room air. You can order our
masking fountains from our sound fountain website
www.SoundFountains.com.

Ergonomics Technology
an ergonomic armrest for carpal tunnel relief
when using a mouse device and computer keyboard:
The armrest provides support for the forearms and
maintains forearm/hand alignment in an optimal orientation. This provides
relief for repetitive stress sufferers when using a computer and prevents
carpal tunnel injury. The armrest is designed to removeably attach to a desk
and supports loading considerably greater that the weight of a user's forearm
weight.

Surge Controller Technology
patented control technology for varying pump
flowrate:
Micro-controller-based technology is embedded in a
controller that dynamically varies the flow rate of a submersible aquarium
pump. The pump under program control generates a time-varying surge with
adjustable ramp rate and intensity. Especially in reef aquaria, this helps
remove waste that can have harmful effect on corals, marine anilmals and
invertebrates.

Aquarium Pump Design
patent pending bi-directional pump technology
for realistically simulating tidal surge in reef aquaria:
Our bi-directional pump technology can be employed to
generate a realistic forward and backward "tidal" surge in a salt water reef
aquarium. This has positive value to the health of corals. Associated control
technology allows the realistic timing of surge behavior. The technology is
cost effective and applicable to the low and mid level home salt water
market.

Metal Halide Lighting Controller
patent-pending micro-controller-based metal
halide lighting controllers for generating time-of-day-variation in reef
aquaria illumination:
These controllers vary the intensity of metal halide
aquarium lights according to several user-selectable lighting regimes. This
variation has positive effects in reducing the buildup of toxic oxygen-free
radicals in corals and contributes to the health of the aquarium.

Fountain Pump Controllers
patented fountain pump control technology
imbedded into solid-state controllers:
Patented and proprietary control technology developed
by our Fountain Kinetics division, is embedded into micro-controller
based electronic motor controllers. These controllers dynamically vary the
speed of a fountain motor-pump by programmed control or by ultrasonic, acoustic
or infrared inputs. Several implemations of the technology have been developed
to control low and high voltage AC and DC pumps. You can see some examples of
the application of the technology to art fountains at our
Fountain Kinetics.com
site.

Waterwall Design
utility and design patented waterwall technology
for generating wall dynamic flows:
Our utility and design patented water wall technology
lends itself to large-scale water walls which display ever-changing patterned
effects behind translucent lensatic screens. Water wall modules can be free
standing or can be imbedded in an interior or exterior wall of a home, office
or museum building. Advantageously, since the viewer cannot come in contact
with the water in the duisplay, the technology is perfectly suited for museum
and children play areas where drinking-water-quality standards need not be
maintained. You can see some examples of our waterwall technology applied to
art fountains at our
Fountain Kinetics.com
site.

Waterbell Technologies
proprietary water bell nozzles and proprietary
technology for generating large scale water bells that dynamically change
shape:
Patent-pending water bell shape changing technology is
used to generate dynamically changing enclosed water bell sheets that maintain
enclosed form while varying in size and shape. This technology has been
evolving since the late 1990's. Large waterbell displays (greater than 5' in
diameter) have applications as water art displays and as attractions in malls
and public spaces. Our patent-pending and proprietary specialized nozzle
technology makes such large diameter bells possible. You can see some examples
of our waterbell technology driving water bells by sound and program at our
Fountain Kinetics.com
site.

Laminar Flow Nozzles
development of a light-coupled aimable laminar
flow nozzle assembly that provides laminar effects at a fraction of current
industry cost.
Laminar flow nozzles are used in the fountain and pool
industy. Current nozzles are costly and expensive to maintain. We are working
towards a more cost effect solution without the sacrifice of stream
quality.

Hydroponic Garden Technology
We have development aeroponic, float, and
aquaponic technology for the home gardener.
We are currently offering three patent-pending lettuce
and herb hydroponic growing kits on our
Plantechnics.com site. We will soon be
offering our patent-pending wheat, grass mixture, and rice hydroponic growing
kits on the site, folllowed by an aquaponics discovery kit for science fair
projects and independent research.
